A special meal

The topic of the week is a special meal, when I read the title I started trying to remember all the memories of important meals and I did not remember any of my childhood, so I will talk about Christmas meals, because on these special occasions we gather all the family together, specially since my older brothers (Natalia and Felipe) left the house.

Although we are not very close to Christmas itself, we always have dinner together because it is the occasion to be together once again, in these meals are my brothers (Natalia, Felipe and Almendra) my parents (Ricardo and Verónica) and my doggo haha

The 2012 food was special for me because my older brother (Felipe) was not in Chile –he lived abroad for a year—so this meal was different from the others, but we enjoyed it anyway. However, later I and my sisters received a gift, we didn´t know what it could be or where they came from until we knew they were gifts from my brother, for me it was very exciting because Felipe was on the other side of the world and even so he was concerned about giving us a present. For me it was as if he had been there at that moment.

Returning to the food, it was December 24, 2012 in my current home and it was for the purpose of celebrating Christmas. I don´t remember exactly what the food was because it isn´t the important thing in the story, but every year we eat the same haha, so I guess it was turkey with potatoes duchess.

    To share with family in christmas eve, I find it a special moment. But I don't understand why the moms repeat the same food every year hahaha.

A dream trip

Hi classmates :) This week, I want to tell you about a trip that I wold like to realize. It's difficult to me select a country because if it were for me I want to travel all over the world haha. But I choose Perú-Bolivia because it is a trip that I have wanted to do for some years. These countries have so much culture and history. natural landscapes and fun. There are so many interesting places and all relatively close to each other, so in three weeks you can visit it completely. Places like Arequipa (called "la ciudad blanca"), Cuzco (called "la Roma de América"), the Titicaca's lake and Machu Picchu in Perú. In the other hand Uyuni, Oruro, Villa Tunari, La Paz, Cochabamba, Isla del Sol and Copacabana in Bolivia. This trip I want to do with close friends or on my own because is a special journey for me and I want to have all the time to visit these wonderful places. Peru and Bolivia are very cheap countries to visit, so I think the total cost...

Puma concolor

Hello classmates: In this day, I want to do a post about one of my favourite animal the Puma concolor. In general I like felines except the domestic cats haha, all have characteristics that make them special, like lions, tigers, cheetahs, jaguars and leopards. The puma is a carnivorous mammal that lives in practically all of America and obviously in Chile. Belongs to the family Felidae, subfamily Felinae and genus Puma. It is currently classified in the UICN with the LC category, which is a minor concern. This animal is characterized by hunting for ambush, their diet is mainly based on deer although they also hunt camelids or other smaller species, is a solitary and territorial animal. One of the differences with the big cats is that it can’t emit roars, it´s sound is sharp more like domestic cats. His height can be 80 cm, his lenght of 2,75 mt and his weight of 75 kg. Also the puma can reach jumps of 5,4 mt in height and reach speeds of 72 km/h (amazing). I really like this...

A great place

Hi Geobloggers: Today, like the other weeks, I'd like to write about something new. I'm going to tell you about a photograph that I took this summer holidays on February, in Chaxa lagoon, inside of the huge Salar de Atacama, near to San Pedro de Atacama. This place is so quiet and magic and I feel that this photo fully represents it, the photo shows a flamingo's flock feeding on his natural environment and the reflection of the sky in the salt water of the lagoon. The possibility of staying and seeing so closely the flamingos represents so much to me and that day was really great, I met different landscapes in this trip even or more beautiful that the shows in the photo, but the presence of this birds (which are becoming less) is unpayable and not easily to forget. I recomend to visit San Pedro, this place has it all, you will not regret. I hope I have the opportunity to visit it a second time. Thanks for reading, see you the next time!
