A landmark

Hi faubloggers

I'm a bit late with this post so excuse me haha, In this post I will talk about a landmark that I liked, so as you know from other posts like "a photograph", "a trip" or "a holiday" I visited San Pedro this year and in this place there are many beautiful natural landscapes.

In this place I felt very impressed by the landscapes of Salar de Tara, this salar is located near the border between Chile, Argentina and Bolivia, Tara is over the crater of Vilama's volcano to 4.300 meters above sea level. I visited the salar with a group of friends in February and it was fantastic, the salar has an unique ecosystem related with animals like flamingos, tucu tucu, taguas, vicuñas, zorro culpeo and others.

But the most impressive is the contrast between the arid and the water of the salar, the massive rock formations eroded by thousands of years known as "catedrales de Tara" and the giant columns of rock that were separated from the catedrales by more erosion known as "Monjes de la Pacana".

To get to the salar I had to hire a tour because is far from San Pedro and is a difficult road, without any service and in many parts there is no vehicle footprint to follow, so it is always recommended to do it with a tour or someone who know the sector.

Once in the salar, the only thing we did was to walk a few short trails, have lunch, observe the beautiful landscape and take many photos as a memory of this place.

Bye!
