Hello classmates, today I want to write about something artistic that I'm doing Since I joined Geography in 2016, I have always been doing cartographies in all subjects and I consider it to be an art form. The cartographies are digital representations of the space, they are similar to the maps in which different elements can be shown depending on the subject of the cartography, like the limits of the communes, water courses, uses of the ground, type of climates, vegetation, etc. In short, almost everything. This type of representation serves to solve different problems such as territorial planning, natural disasters, distribution of flora and fauna, so we basically occupy it for all areas of geography. Mapping involves too much patience and time because cartographies need to be orderly, clearly and easy to understad. In these day I’m going to talk about an old family photograph in which my whole family appears. This photo was taken in Santiago on the common areas of the building (behind you can see the Metro Station Ñuble), probably in 2000 or 2001, before we went to live in Temuco, when I was a child (at the age of 4 or 5). In this photo appear my dad Ricardo (same as me), my mom Verónica, my oldest sister Natalia, my brother Felipe, my middle sister Almendra and finally me, the minor of the family. In those years I don´t remember much for my age but with this photograph I can imagine how we were, for example my dads didn´t change too much but my brothers and me grew a lot, specially Felipe, Almendra and me, we are so young.  What I like the most about the photo is that we are all together, as we are now and even more, and this building represents an important part of my life, my childhood. Hi, this is a sad day because this will be the last blog :( In this special opportunity, I would like to talk about my experience writing in this platform called Blogger. I think it was a great idea to write post in our blogs and read the blogs of our classmates. This allows me to learn and practice a little more about write in English. I really liked the post about a journey and the post about a photograph. First, because I love the travels and know other cultures and landscapes, I've always have seen documentaries and blogs of travels with the goal to know other far countries. Hello classmates: In this day, I want to do a post about one of my favourite animal the Puma concolor. In general I like felines except the domestic cats haha, all have characteristics that make them special, like lions, tigers, cheetahs, jaguars and leopards. The puma is a carnivorous mammal that lives in practically all of America and obviously in Chile. Belongs to the family Felidae, subfamily Felinae and genus Puma. It is currently classified in the UICN with the LC category, which is a minor concern. This animal is characterized by hunting for ambush, their diet is mainly based on deer although they also hunt camelids or other smaller species, is a solitary and territorial animal. One of the differences with the big cats is that it can’t emit roars, it´s sound is sharp more like domestic cats. His height can be 80 cm, his lenght of 2,75 mt and his weight of 75 kg. Goodnight geobloggers! In this day, I will tell you about my dream job. My first job was at 16,  I wanted to earn my own money but as a minor, nobody wanted to give me a job. Until I found a job selling products like Natura or something like that haha in my free time. It was easy at first but then no longer so I quit this job after three weeks. Later, I worked washing dishes in a restaurant as a replacement. When I was 18, I worked as promoter of the Bailey's drinks and last year as promoter of Maggi. In spite of that, I have always wanted to work in my free time in a bookstore because I like books a lot. However my dream job would be as researcher of the chilean fauna, especially mammals. I've always liked biology and ecology in part because of that I study Geography. I like to study the distribution and conservation of some species that are in danger of extincion. Hello Geobloggers The topic of today is art, the true is that I'm not a big fan of art but I enjoy to see it. So I had to decide for a piece of art that I like and I chose "La persistencia de la memoria" by Salvador Dalí. Dalí (1904-1989) was a famous spanish painter, is considered one of the greatest exponents of surrealism, he was also a sculptor, engraver and writer, among others. Maybe his most famous painting was "La persistencia de la memoria" made in 1931, currently this painting is in Nueva York on the MoMA Museum. I don't remember when I saw this painting for the first time, I suposed it was in some art class at school, about ten years ago. In art classes we used to see famous paintings and sculptures and then try to make them ourselves. In this painting one observes an empty and arid landscape with some watches, which have the particularity of being melted. Hello everyoneee Today I would talk about a famous website and app, its name is Facebook . This app is a social network founded by Mark Zuckerberg in 2004, originally called TheFacebook, using   it was only for members of Harvard University. Facebook has more than 1650 millions active users currently. I often visit this website, everyday and more than once, usually in my free time. I discover Facebook in 2008, when the app started to become more popular, since then I'm an active member of this platform. I remember how much has changed this website since 2008, becoming the most important social network of today. I started to like Facebook because I could keep in touch with old friends and distant members of the family, also the games that the website had in 2008 were really great and the tests too.  Currently I like the application because I can easily know about my friends on the platform from their post or through Messenger, I can follow sites that I consider interesti...
